Current and former Savannah River Site (SRS) workers are invited to important town hall meetings on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 for information on injury claims.  The meetings that will begin at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at Newberry Hall, 117 Newberry Street SW, Aiken, SC 29803 will discuss rights for injured workers under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Act (EEOICPA) and state workers’ compensation programs.

  • If you are a current or former worker or survivor, you may qualify for $150,000 or more in DOL benefits because of a diagnosis of beryllium disease or cancer.
  • If you are a current or former worker or survivor, with a diagnosis of mesothelioma, asbestosis, occupational cancers, or other work related conditions, you may qualify for compensation from the DOL.
  • If you are a current or former worker or survivor, you may qualify for State Workers’ Compensation Benefits for occupational illnesses or disease in addition to DOL benefits.
  • If you are a current or former worker or survivor, you may have the right to reopen a denied claim made for DOL benefits and a right to claim State Workers’ Compensation Benefits.

The town hall meeting is jointly sponsored by the Energy Workers Legal Resource Center, the Law Offices of Tony Farmer and John Dreiser, and the Hodge-Langley Law Firm.  Our offices have assisted thousands of workers and their survivors with evaluating and managing workplace claims with the United States Department of Labor under the EEOICPA and state workers’ compensation programs.
